At PrediktaLeague, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your personal data. By using PrediktaLeague, you agree to the collection and use of data as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name and email address (provided via Google authentication)
• Your profile avatar from your Google account (optional)
• Account creation date and last login timestamp

Prediction Data

When you use the platform, we collect:

• Match predictions you submit (teams, scores, timestamps)
• Your points, rankings, and leaderboard positions
• Groups and leagues you create or join
• Your prediction history and accuracy statistics

Technical Data

Automatically collected when you visit our platform:

• IP address and approximate geographic location (country/region level)
• Browser type, version, and operating system
• Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
• Pages visited, time spent, and interactions
• Referral source (how you found us)

Authentication Data

We use Supabase for authentication. When you sign in with Google, we receive an authentication token from Google OAuth. We do not store your Google password. Your session token is stored securely in your browser and expires automatically.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data exclusively to:

• Provide and improve the PrediktaLeague platform and features
• Calculate your prediction scores and leaderboard rankings accurately
• Enable group and league features with other users
• Send transactional communications (score updates, rank changes)
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity
• Comply with legal obligations
• Analyse platform usage to improve the experience

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

Analytics

We may use anonymised analytics to understand how users interact with the platform. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you individually.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Anonymised and aggregated prediction data (without personal identifiers) may be retained indefinitely for statistical and analytical purposes.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to certain types of processing
• Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data

Third-Party Services

PrediktaLeague integrates with the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and database hosting
• Google OAuth — Single sign-on authentication

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of PrediktaLeague (“the Platform”), operated by PrediktaLeague (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree, please do not use the Platform.

User Accounts

To access prediction features, you must create an account using Google authentication. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account and not sharing access
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate information when registering
• Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use PrediktaLeague.

Predictions & Scoring

Predictions must be submitted before the match kick-off deadline. The scoring system works as follows:

• Exact correct scoreline: 3 points
• Correct outcome (win/draw/loss): 1 point
• Incorrect prediction: 0 points
• No prediction submitted: 0 points

Leaderboard rankings are calculated based on cumulative points across all predictions within a tournament. Rankings update in real time after each match result is confirmed. In the event of a points tie, the user with the higher count of exact score predictions ranks higher.

Fair Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use automated bots, scripts, or other tools to submit predictions
• Attempt to manipulate leaderboards through fraudulent means
• Create multiple accounts to gain competitive advantage
• Share your account or prediction access with others for competitive gain
• Post offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content in groups or leagues
• Attempt to access, disrupt, or compromise the security of the Platform
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Platform without permission
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including account suspension or permanent ban.

User Content

When you create groups, leagues, or other user-generated content on PrediktaLeague, you retain ownership of that content. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights, and does not contain harmful, offensive, or illegal material.

Intellectual Property

All content on PrediktaLeague — including but not limited to the brand name, logo, design, code, graphics, and text — is owned by or licensed to PrediktaLeague and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our express written permission.

Limitation of Liability

PrediktaLeague is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PrediktaLeague shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform.

Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or to the Platform. We will provide reasonable notice where possible, except in cases of serious violations.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us through our contact page.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending a notification to your registered email address. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit, making your next visit easier and the site more useful to you. Cookies are not programmes and cannot carry viruses.

Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. Without them, core features such as authentication and session management cannot work.

• Session cookies: Keep you logged in during your visit
• Authentication cookies: Store your Supabase session token securely
• Security cookies: Help prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF)

These cookies cannot be disabled without preventing you from using the Platform. They are deleted when you close your browser or log out.

Authentication Cookies

When you sign in with Google, Supabase sets an authentication cookie to maintain your session. This cookie contains an encrypted token and does not store your password. The cookie expires after 7 days of inactivity, after which you will be asked to sign in again.

Analytics Cookies

We may use anonymised analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our Platform. This helps us improve the user experience. Analytics data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.

• Usage cookies: Track page views, session duration, and feature usage
• Performance cookies: Identify slow-loading pages and errors

Preference Cookies

These cookies remember your settings and preferences to personalise your experience.

• Theme preference: Remembers your light or dark mode selection
• Language preference: Stores your preferred interface language
